Yayasan Negeri Sembilan was established by the Negeri Sembilan Government through the provision of Negeri Sembilan Enactment No. 6 of 1979. The purpose of the establishment of the Negeri Sembilan Foundation is to help and improve the progress of education, sports, culture and expand the opportunity to get further education among the children of Negeri Sembilan and Malaysian citizens who reside in Negeri Sembilan.

The YNS human development unit is responsible for carrying out welfare activities based on education, youth and students.

Among the programs carried out by the YNS Human Development Unit are Student Livelihood Assistance (BSH), Laptop Assistance (BKR), Youth Career Opportunities Program, Negeri Sembilan Student Secretariat which coordinates and several collaboration programs with Public Universities.

• Laptop Assistance (BKR)

Laptop assistance for Negeri Sembilan children is an initiative of the state government and the Negeri Sembilan Foundation to help facilitate the learning process of Negeri Sembilan children, especially the asnaf and B40 groups who are affected by the spread of the covid-19 epidemic in online learning.

• Negeri Sembilan Full Boarding Admission Assistance

Negeri Sembilan Full Boarding Admission Assistance is an initiative of the Negeri Sembilan Government through the Negeri Sembilan Foundation to provide financial assistance and alleviate the costs borne by students.

• Negeri Sembilan Student Secretariat

The Negeri Sembilan Student Secretariat is a central organization under the Human Development Unit, Negeri Sembilan Foundation.

The Negeri Sembilan Student Secretariat is an organization that unites the Negeri Sembilan student association registered in every public university.

The secretariat through the cooperation of YNS always organizes programs with students either at the place of study and around Negeri Sembilan.

Among the programs organized are community service held in each of the 36 Negeri Sembilan state assemblies, flood volunteers and academic scientific programs.
