The Negeri Sembilan Foundation was established by the Negeri Sembilan Government through the provision of Negeri Sembilan Enactment No. 6 year 1979. The purpose of the establishment of the Negeri Sembilan Foundation is to help and improve the progress of Education, sports, culture and expand the opportunity to get further education among the children of Negeri Sembilan and Malaysian citizens who reside in Negeri Sembilan.

In order to achieve the goal of establishing YNS, Negeri Sembilan Foundation Investment Happiness was established which is responsible for generating funds. This fund is used to finance student sponsorship costs, finance educational activities, sports, cultural activities, assistance and others for the benefit of the people of Negeri Sembilan in general.

In order to ensure that the fund's target goals are achieved, the investment department needs to carry out various business activities, trade, joint ventures, investments, savings and so on. The activities carried out are as follows:

• The establishment of subsidiaries that carry out various activities to support the establishment of the Negeri Sembilan Foundation. In addition to that, the establishment of these subsidiaries can also provide opportunities to increase knowledge, and skills for staff to deepen their knowledge of business. • Farming

Through support and effective measures from the state government, Yayasan Negeri Sembilan has owned and leased land to be used as agricultural fields such as oil palm plantations, rubber plantations, timber plantations and so on.

• Joint Venture

Since Yayasan Negeri Sembilan has advantages in terms of assets supported by the state government, Yayasan Negeri Sembilan has held joint venture activities in the field of business, natural resource production, agriculture and so on, which these activities have provided financial resources to Yayasan Negeri Sembilan Nine in the form of income through dividends, leases and so on.

• Property

Yayasan Negeri Sembilan owns several land lots, shophouses, office space, etc. that can be used to obtain funds such as property rental.
